Application of StroQ for the Analysis of Intracerebral Hemorrhages in Patients with Cardiovascular Risk Factors
Background:
The clinical application of StroQ has been extended to patients with typically localized intracerebral hemorrhages and multiple cardiovascular risk factors. The pathophysiology and hemodynamic changes in this patient group have not yet been sufficiently investigated.
Objective of the Study:
To examine hemodynamic parameters using StroQ simulation and duplex ultrasound (nvUS) in patients with intracerebral hemorrhages – with a particular focus on flow velocities, vessel wall stress, and their correlation with hemorrhage location.
Target Group:
Consecutive patients with typically localized intracerebral hemorrhages and multiple cardiovascular risk factors treated in a stroke unit or neurological intensive care unit.
Study Status:
The study is currently being conducted in collaboration with the University Medical Center Göttingen.
